Customizable Quadratic™ Expedition Tent

This page lets you customize a Quadratic™ tent for expeditions. The outer tent, inner tent and main pole options are all suitable for a sturdy expedition style tent.

The Quadratic™ All Year Outer and the Quadratic™Snow Outer are both made from durable 40D double silicone coated nylon fabric. The doors can be opened from the top, for easier access after snow, and every vent can be completely sealed if wind-blown snow is coming from that direction. The Quadratic™ All Year Outer and the Quadratic™Snow Outer are the same, except the latter has snow flaps around the vestibule. The snow flaps add stability, and help keep spindrift out of the vestibule.

The Quadratic™ Winter Inner is the right choice for the inner tent. The mesh on the doors can be completely closed off for warmth and to keep blowing snow out. Lots of mesh pockets and a durable 70D floor, make it comfortable and reliable.

For main poles we recommend the Quadratic™ Expedition Pole Set. Easton® Expedition Aluminium poles are both strong and durable, and have been used for decades on expeditions to the world’s remotest places.

We also recommend Easton® Expedition Aluminium poles for the side poles. The side poles greatly increase the wind performance of the tent, ensuring its stability in the worst weather. For the ultimate in stability, move up from the lighter 9.7 mm to 11.0 mm poles. Using two poles means that the tent is protected from the wind in every direction; perfect for base camps. Using a single pole on the up-wind side saves weight if constantly on the move.

Guy Cords are highly recommended to add stability to the tent, especially if the side poles are not being used on a trip. Choose one or two sets of cord – we recommend Hi Vis Yellow for expeditions.
